iwas-concepts AG – Innovative Recycling Solutions

 

Plastic waste is a valuable resource. By recycling it and returning it to the material cycle, we contribute to a more sustainable economy while also protecting the environment. Our focus is on the recycling of glass-fiber-reinforced thermosets (GFRP).

 

Every year, more than 200,000 metric tons of fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) waste are generated across Europe, which should be disposed of properly. However, there is currently no established and sustainable recycling process in line with the principles of a circular economy. FRP waste is either incinerated or disposed of in landfills.

That is why iwas-concepts AG, together with partners from research and industry, develops and implements innovative and sustainable solutions for GRP recycling in order to process these high-quality waste products and return them to the material cycle.
